About Isa
(She / They)
My name is Isa (pronounced ee-sa) and I am a licensed acupuncturist. My acupuncture practice, Little Forest Acupuncture, is inspired by the woods in and around Middlebury.
I have been an acupuncturist since 2008, when I completed a four-year Master’s program in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California.
Before moving to Vermont, I worked in Northern California at UC Davis Health, seeing patients in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, the Integrative Medicine Clinic, and the Comprehensive Cancer Center.
I specialize in treating:
-
Stress & Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Insomnia & Nightmares
-
Low back pain & Sciatica
-
Injuries, sprains, and joint pain
-
Neck pain
-
Migraines & Headaches
-

-
Digestive Disorders
-

-
Painful periods
-
Irregular periods
-
Fibromyalgia
-
Peripheral neuropathy
-
Cancer treatment side effects, such as CIPN, brain fog, hot flashes, and joint pain

I am dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive healing environment, and have a body-positive, non-judgmental approach to health and healing. As a member of the queer community, I also especially enjoy working with members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about acupuncture! I am always happy to schedule a free 20-minute free consultation for new patients.
My wife and I moved to Middlebury in 2024 and we have loved connecting to the land and spirit of this beautiful town. Outside of the acupuncture clinic, my other passion is writing fantasy and speculative romance novels. You can find my books on Amazon and Bookshop.org. When not writing, you can most likely find me hiking in the woods with my dog Snowflake.
